CAF Rescinds Pitroipa's Ban

Confederation of African Football (CAF) President, Issa Hayatou has announced an immediate rescinding of an accumulated “Yellow Cards” on Jonathan Pitroipa in last Wednesday’s Semi Final match between the Burkinabe of Burkina Faso and the Black Stars of Ghana.

"For Pitroipa to be able to take part the referee in Wednesday's game had to admit he had made a mistake in booking the player for a second time for diving, something Tunisian Slim Jdidi has now done", CAf president Issa Hayatou said.

You would recall Burkina Faso risked losing the playmaker for the all-important Final clash with Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Jo’burg after Tunisian referee harshly punished the Rennes Star for a supposed dive to con Slim Jhidi into awarding a penalty against the Black Stars in the encounter.
