42-year-old rapper DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was taken into custody and booked at the Spartanburg County jail in South Carolina on Wednesday 13th February, 2013 after he was pulled over for allegedly driving without a license.

Below are what he told a Local Fox Station:
"They watched me at the gas station and get in the car," "They followed me around the corner, pulled me over, put the cuffs on me and brought me here. I paid the money, when I could have just paid the money right there on the spot. Basically it was just five hours wasted for nothing. I don't have a court date or a court appearance" He also noted he had his 5-month-old daughter in the car when he was pulled over.
