The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has elected the former Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih, to chair its Board of Trustees (BoT) in a swift move to check the emerging APC.
Anenih who many see as a gladiator and a political father figure had occupied the BoT of the ruling party between 2005 and 2007.
He was reinstated after an election in during the Board's Meeting on Monday, 25th Febuary, 2013.
Whether his experience will help the battered PDP is left to be seen but he had this to say;

“I was elected today by consensus as the chairman of the BoT. I know I can make meaningful contributions to the progress of the party. As you know, the BOT is the conscience of the party. It’s a body of men and women who have seen it all and I am happy to be the chairman of that board.”
