Some major celebrities, twelve to be exact, have been targeted by a hacker who reportedly posted their sensitive financial information online on an undisclosed website.
Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Ashton Kutcher, Mel Gibson, and Paris Hilton were all allegedly victimized, as well as political figures like Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Attorney General Eric Holder, FBI director Robert Mueller, and Los Angeles Police chief Charlie Beck.
Information about the public figures — including social security
numbers, credit card details, and info tied to mortgages, loans, and
other banking matters — has reportedly been leaked to an unidentified
website.
Celebrity Magazine TMZ first reported the serious breach, indicating that the LAPD and FBI are investigating.
In a related development, Nigeria's TV princess announced she will be shutting her facebook account due to a hacking trend that has now gotten a foot-hold and strangling celebrities.
