Sultan seeks pardon for Boko Haram members

Just saw this on punch:

Sokoto - The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Abubakar III, wants President Goodluck Jonathan to grant members of the Islamist sect, Boko Haram, “total amnesty", Punch reports.

He said as Jonathan prepares to visit  Maiduguri, Borno State, he should consider the amnesty option as  a surest way to make peace reign again in the country.

Abubakar argued that a presidential amnesty to even one member of the sect, could make  others to lay  down their arms for peace to reign in the nation.
More on PUNCH

So after series of mayhem this group have visited on families across the country, the Sultan thinks Amnesty is the best reward for them??
